Pros are gas mileage, about 30 city. 40 highway. cheaper parts. lots of aftermarket parts. easy up-grades. Cons could be low horsepower 100. not much torque 90. so don’t load it up and try to get on the freeway. lol. old suspension parts. might need replacement parts here and there. but they look good to you. so go for it.

They are easy cars to work on and the junk yards are full of them, meaning lots of cheap spare parts. Also there is a large aftermarket for those cars so you can get performance and body styling kits for them. The down side would be that because they are so old you most likely will end up doing repair work on it, and if you cant do it yourself it will get expensive. I don’t own one myself, and I’m not really a fan of that body style but who cares what someone else thinks, as long as you like it. I do work on them in my shop though, and they are easy to repair and popular.

if you’re gonna race it, this is gonna be one of the easiest cars to trick out. you can swap the engine for a B18C (I think you can even shoehorn a H22 in there!), turbo, NOS, suspension, 6-speed tranny, clutch, flywheel, exhaust systems… all that. tons of parts for civics everywhere. plus they’re very light, so the power-to-weight ratio is gonna be good. i’ve seen one of these things pushing 350hp and weighing less than 1000kg. quartermile’s less than 10 seconds (in the hands of a really good driver).
if you’re gonna drive it on a daily basis, it’s cheap on gas but it’s gonna cost you a lot to run because it’s bound to have lots of problems because of its age. oil leaks, creaking springs, etc. again, it’s got a lot of parts everywhere, but it won’t be worth the trouble for a daily driver. i’d say go for something that’s only about 4-6 years old, and hopefully with less than 50,000 miles on it.

I love that model!! I would say pros: good on gas and good looks; cons: older car, may have problems and parts will be somewhat expensive since it’s foreign. I would say though, the pros weigh out the cons though. If you like it, go for it!! You’re the one that’s going to be driving it, not us.

pros- cheap on gas, parts
cons- too old, it will give you many problems cuz once a car is passed 10 years on average its done unless you find one that is in pristine condition with low miles or install a new engine and other parts,
